The Diabetes Research Project, set to commence on October 1, 2023, is a 12-month observational cohort study aimed at deepening the understanding of diabetes. The main focus is to profile untargeted metabolites associated with both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, offering potential insights into the disease's metabolic intricacies. In addition, the study seeks to identify modifiable risk factors that might influence the onset or progression of diabetes. By pinpointing these factors, the research could one day inform preventive strategies and lifestyle modifications.
