Description

The objective of this project is to explore the biological effects of chronic exposure to ionizing radiation among health professionals (radiologists, medical imaging technologists, radiation therapy staff, etc.). Through metabolomics and other multi-omics approaches, BioTwin aims to identify Bio-Signatures and specific biomarkers linked to alterations of DNA, of metabolism and of the immune system. These findings could contribute to a better understanding of long-term risks and to the development of targeted prevention strategies.

Eligibility

Workers exposed to radiation.

Objective

Understand and improve outcomes for fluoroscopy.

Expected outcomes

  • Detection of specific biomarkers linked to chronic exposure.
  • Development of new monitoring and prevention strategies.
